Ich freue mich riesig, den Deutschen Filmpreis 2025 moderieren und sogar mitgestalten zu dürfen. Es ist für mich eine große Ehre und wir werden den deutschen Film und das Kino kräftig feiern und das sehr musikalisch, denn meine Band WOODS OF BIRNAM wird mich auf der Bühne unterstützen.
In schwierigen Zeiten und Tagen von Kulturkürzungen ist es umso wichtiger, dass die Kunst und das Kino gefeiert werden und man an so einem Abend komprimiert eine bunte Übersicht bekommt, wie vielfältig und spannend die deutsche Filmbranche im letzten Jahr wieder gewesen ist.
Ich freue mich auf einen Abend voller Emotionen und Humor, mit einem guten Tempo sowie einer gesunden Prise Glamour.
Das ZDF überträgt die Show am 9. Mai 2025 live um 19:00 Uhr in der Mediathek sowie zeitversetzt um 23:30 Uhr im linearen Fernsehen.

I’m thrilled to be hosting and even helping to shape the 2025 German Film Awards. It’s a great honor for me, and we’ll be celebrating German film and cinema with a great deal of music, as my band WOODS OF BIRNAM will be supporting me on stage.
In difficult times and days of cultural cuts, it’s all the more important that art and cinema are celebrated, and that an evening like this provides a condensed, colorful overview of just how diverse and exciting the German film industry has been again over the past year.
I’m looking forward to an evening full of emotion and humor, with a good pace and a healthy dose of glamour.
ZDF will broadcast the show live on May 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the media library and with a time delay at 11:30 PM on linear television.
